gender, arrival date, arrival time, birth weight, and birth length of
the Sprout. Entries were due before our ultrasound, which was March 27, 2007 at 10:15 am MDT.
How to win
The winner of the arrival only category will be determined as with the Bun, whoever is closest to the actual arrival wins. This means only the arrival date and time parts of the entry matter for this category.
The winner of the overall category will be determined by points. Points will be awarded as follows:
Arrival within one week: 1 point
Arrival within one day (24 hours): 5 points
Arrival within 12 hours: 10 points
Arrival within 1 hour: 20 points
Arrival within 30 minutes: 40 points
Gender correct according to ultrasound: 5 points
Gender actually correct: 10 points
Weight within 1 pound: 2 points
Weight within 1 ounce: 5 points
Weight correct: 10 points
Length within 2 inches: 1 point
Length within 1 inch: 5 points
Length correct: 10 points
Points are cumulative. In other words, if I was to guess the Sprout's arrival to the correct minute, that would be 76 points!
Background
As mentioned above, the Sprout is due August 20th, 2007.
Ada was due January 1st, 2006. She actually came December 23, 2005 at 12:31 pm. At birth she was eight pounds, two ounces and 19 inches long.
